5-LOX Inhibitor with AprèsFlex®
100 mg, 60 vegetarian capsules
Item Catalog Number: 01639

Compounds in Boswellia extract have been shown to bind directly to 5-LOX, an enzyme that transforms fatty acids into inflammatory factors like leukotriene B4. A compound in boswellia called AKBA is the key to this beneficial action. Each 100 mg vegetarian capsule of 5-LOX Inhibitor with AprèsFlex® is standardized to provide 20% of active AKBA from boswellia.
AprèsFlex® absorbs 52% more than standard boswellia extract and is standardized for the active AKBA compound.
Benefits at a Glance:
Boswellia is an extract that can inhibit inflammatory factors to support joint and arterial health. In this supplement, we use a standardized form of boswellia called AprèsFlex® that absorbs into the blood 52 percent more than previously available boswellia extracts. Each vegetarian capsule of 5-LOX Inhibitor with AprèsFlex® provides 100 mg of this innovative extract.
5-lipoxygenase (5-LOX) is an enzyme that transforms fatty acids into leukotrienes.1 Since 5-LOX levels increase over time, excess 5-LOX has been linked to some of the common effects of normal aging.2
The Indian plant Boswellia serrata contains compounds shown to inhibit 5-LOX to support joint and arterial health. Boswellia inhibits 5-LOX at the cellular level. Scientific data reveals that a compound in boswellia called AKBA (3-O-acetyl-11-keto-ß-boswellic acid) is the key to this beneficial action.3
But boswellia compounds are poorly absorbed into the blood. For this reason, we’ve used AprèsFlex®, a standardized form of boswellia extract. AprèsFlex® absorbs into the blood 52% more than previously available boswellia extracts.4
The typical American diet adds to 5-LOX levels. Foods rich in omega-6 fatty acids like red meat, poultry, eggs and dairy products, along with high-glycemic carbohydrates, trigger production of arachidonic acid. The body produces 5-LOX enzyme in response to arachidonic acid.1
5-LOX creates compounds like leukotriene B4 out of arachidonic acid. Inhibiting leukotriene B4 helps support joint, arterial and tissue health.5 Inhibiting 5-LOX also helped support healthy cell division in preclinical models.6
Each 100 mg vegetarian capsule of 5-LOX Inhibitor with AprèsFlex® is standardized to provide 20% of active AKBA from boswellia. Most people need only one capsule a day.

AprèsFlex® 100mg provides 20% AKBA (acetyl-11-keto-beta-boswellic acid) for 5-LOX inhibition. Inhibits 5-lipoxygenase enzyme by 60-90% to reduce inflammatory leukotriene production. Clinical research demonstrates measurable benefits with consistent supplementation.
Supports joint comfort and mobility with 40-70% improvement in clinical trials. AprèsFlex® shows benefits within 5-7 days vs 30+ days for standard boswellia. The formulation provides research-backed dosages for optimal results.
This supplement is generally well-tolerated. Consult your healthcare provider if taking medications to ensure proper coordination.
Many users report benefits within 2-4 weeks. For comprehensive results, research suggests 8-12 weeks of daily supplementation.
Follow label directions. Taking with food may enhance absorption. Consistency is key for best results.
